Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that affects a person’s ability to think, feel, and behave clearly. It is a chronic condition that typically develops in late adolescence or early adulthood and can last a lifetime.

Symptoms of Schizophrenia may include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech and behavior, and a lack of motivation or emotional expression. The exact causes of schizophrenia are not fully understood, but it is believed to be a combination of genetic, environmental, and brain chemistry factors.

Schizophrenia is a chronic condition that requires ongoing monitoring and assessment. Here at Delighted Psychiatry, we will regularly assess the patient’s symptoms, monitor their medication regimen, and make adjustments as needed. We will provide the patient and their family with education about schizophrenia, its symptoms, and how to manage them. We will also offer support to help the patient and their loved ones cope with the challenges of living with the condition. Remember, treating this illness is a team effort, and we will work closely with all individuals involved to provide the best possible care.
